I finally capitulated to peer pressure and got a Google mail account.

    Probably I will, since I’m quite hooked on “Picasa”, the free Google version of Photoshop. Also, I like the way the Contacts are laid out, and how you can personalize and configure it all to hell.

    The key to me using it is 1) I transferred almost every current email address I have into its address book, 2) I MUST NOT USE IT for buying things or signing up for silly contests on the Interweb, so as to maintain its virgin purity from spam, and 3) I must make a point of adding photo illustrations to all my contacts, so that it looks pretty.

    I think I can do this. Now, the real question becomes — will anyone every SEND ME MAIL there?
