– for the last three days, reporting from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Showcase Ontario, a government technology innovations conference where I acquired a new pen, some bandaids, a cheap and ineffectual “laser pointer”, and a tab of breath mints that I can’t eat because they’re laced with deadly aspartame
\n– thinking seriously about applying to York for their part-time Ph.D. program
\n– thinking somewhat seriously about applying to OISE for Teacher’s College
\n– considering, not entirely seriously, but not entirely jokingly, writing a romance novel for Harlequin, just to see if I can put between 80,000-180,000 words to paper
\n– getting my grad portraits done, but I forgot my amusing props and I didn’t ask to do the ‘Thinker’ pose with head resting on my chin, so they’re going to suck
\n– having silly arguments with JVL about doing dishes (why is it always the dishes that gets to us; never dusting, never laundry, just dishes?)
\n– attending my quilters guild meeting, getting a vicious attack of the giggles when I realised nearly everyone there really *does* have grey or white hair except roommate K-Jo and I, and then volunteering to do work at Casa Loma setting up for the “Quilt for the Cure” breast cancer fundraiser this Saturday
\n– watching ‘Northern Exposure’ (finished season one, half way through season two)
\n– loving ‘Rome’ on HBO enough to ignore Justin’s co-workers (my guests) from 9pm-10pm at the very nice party we threw last Sunday night
\n– planted another Virginia Creeper and have two honeysuckles en route (thanks
