I just gave my cubicle the cleaning of its lifetime. I feel almost physically lighter from having purged myself of so much dead paper. Hooray!<\/p>\n

Now I’m going to decorate it with a graphic art\/dinosaur\/quilting theme. <\/p>\n

I already have several plastic dinosaurs scattered about, but I may bring some wooden ones in from home; I have one framed original b&w illustration up, and I’m going to bring in my Silver Snail illustrated resume (which is also framed), and see if I can get to loan me the Ivan Brunetti<\/a> original I gave her, since I doubt she wants to hang it anywhere in her new digs; as for the quilt theme… either I’ll bring in an actual quilt and wall mount it (not wildly likely that I’ll be finished one anytime soon), or I will bring in some calendar pages or blocks or some such.<\/p>\n

In other news, the big McClelland & Stewart 100 Years<\/a> bash is tonight, which I will be attending with the dapper Alastair. We’ll probably be cabbing it home afterwards, since the gala will end post-train-service and is located in our fine Distillery District, notorious for its dismal public transit access. No, I did NOT find the time to get a haircut. Boo-urns. It’s also likely that I’ll run into Sam<\/a> at this function, so let’s hope I have my rapier wit and a glass of cold chardonnay to hand; partly as antidote, partly as artillery. “Aunt Flo” (from Red River) is on her way into town, and I’m feeling bitchalicious, so let’s hope there’s no inappropriate verbal sparring going down tonight.<\/p>\n
