I’m making my first tentative steps towards socializing this week. Hung out with and last night, who were very comforting. They delivered on their promise of a delicious dinner and lots of Doctor Who. I saw a good Christopher Eccleston episode (Dalek) and two *excellent* David Tennant episodes. If I were in the mindset for imaginary boy crushes, I would be all over the Tenth Doctor – David Tennant is charismatic, handsome… just riveting to watch. And the plotting and dialogue seem to have improved considerably in the second season, too. A good first evening out.<\/p>\n

Tonight I will be literally climbing the walls with my friend Alastair, who is trying out a rock gym for the first time. We’re set to do the harness and rope lesson right after work and will then belay for one another for as long as my poor, undeveloped triceps, biceps, delts, pecs, rhomboids and trapezius can handle. I think A is a little nervous about his performance, which is ridiculous because he’s light, muscular and part monkey. But I will be soooore tomorrow. <\/p>\n

This weekend is going to be a long one, and I am not simply referring to the fact that Monday is a holiday. Tomorrow I’ll return to Weston to pick up some essentials and begin packing. I am not looking forward to going back to a place so steeped in memories. After that overwhelming experience, there will probably be a return to Oakville for some cocoa and bad movies. Sunday might be more of the same, with hopefully some LibriVox recording (I’m very behind on my projects), some work on knitting my pink & orange shrug, and a good run at the gym. Monday I hope to meet up with for some coffee and girl talk in the afternoon and then possibly play squash with later on. Or vice versa, whatever. is hostessing later in the evening, so I’ll book that in as my last stop for the day. My dance card is officially full for Monday.<\/p>\n

After an e-mail exchange with Justin about finances that left me feeling completely gutted, I’ve decided not to think about how he and I will resolve our fiancial ties. Soon. But not yet. That’s the killing blow; that makes it final.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
