{"id":1521,"date":"2003-10-26T23:33:09","date_gmt":"2003-10-27T03:33:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pipesdreams.org\/blog\/?p=1521"},"modified":"2009-05-25T08:09:11","modified_gmt":"2009-05-25T12:09:11","slug":"firearms-and-four-year-olds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pipesdreams.org\/blog\/archives\/1521","title":{"rendered":"Firearms and Four Year Olds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another weekend of wholesomeness under my belt and I feel just about back to normal.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/pipesdreams.diaryland.com\/images\/grave7.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I had just the right dose of shooting firearms at milk cartons&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/pipesdreams.diaryland.com\/images\/grave1.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/pipesdreams.diaryland.com\/images\/grave2.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/>&#8230;a smidgeon more than enough hanging out with a four-year-old&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/pipesdreams.diaryland.com\/images\/grave6.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/>&#8230;and consumed more food than was strictly necessary.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/pipesdreams.diaryland.com\/images\/grave3.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/>We paid the requisite visit to Le Giant Tigre where I went on an insane purchasing rampage but managed to remember to pay for all my clothes this time, avoiding the embarrassment and shame of inadvertent cleptomania. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/pipesdreams.diaryland.com\/images\/grave8.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nI came away with two ridiculous pairs of panties, four pairs of socks, a t-shirt, flourescent orange hunting gloves, a six-pack of microwaveable Easy Mac, and two awesome children&#8217;s books by this guy named Chris Raschka. I recommend these books highly. The series is called &#8220;Thingy Things&#8221; and although I was only able to find &#8220;Moosey Moose&#8221; and &#8220;Sluggy Slug&#8221;, I will immediately begin hunting for the companion volumes, &#8220;Whaley Whale&#8221; and &#8220;Wormy Worm&#8221;.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/pipesdreams.diaryland.com\/images\/grave4.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nEd entertained by making a scrumptious curry dinner Saturday night, target shooting the elusive mandarin orange tin out of the bush Sunday morning, and buying me a pair of matching dinosaurs to play with at the Bracebridge Dollarama.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/pipesdreams.diaryland.com\/images\/grave5.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n(T-Rex)Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive.<br \/>\n(Stegosaurus) We will rule over all this land, and we will call it&#8230; &#8220;This Land.&#8221;<br \/>\n(T-Rex)I think we should call it &#8220;your grave!&#8221;<br \/>\n(Stegosaurus) Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!<br \/>\n(T-Rex) Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die!<br \/>\n(Stegosaurus) Oh, no, God!
