I hate shitty financial paperwork, especially when it involves me giving away lots of money and not getting anything tangible in return. Taxes, for example. <\/p>\n
Boring financial whining…<\/strong><\/p>\n Last year, I slipped up and neglected to submit all of my paperwork, so now I have to find all sorts of small, elusive figures so my wonderiffic friend Mae can help me finally file properly. THEN I get to pay all sorts of $$$ to the government, PLUS the ever-accruing interest. AND my 2004 property tax. AND my landlord raised our rent. <\/p>\n THEN I have to finally get the Membership Enrollment papers for my OPSEU pension signed, sealed, delivered, and find out how much I’ll owe in backpayments for the time I worked here on contract (which will be a lot). More $$$ to the government.<\/p>\n THEN I get to deal with the $1600 repair to my broken circuit board in my heater. At least I have my wonderful Mum calling the bastards who manufactured it (the inappropriately named ‘Climate Master’ corporation), to make sure they aren’t completely ripping me off for the cost of the part. I already know I’m getting ripped off for the labour, but there’s not much I can do, since my poor tenant is freezing her bonbons off and relying on space heaters in this terrible weather. <\/p>\n Finally, I’m spending my lunchhour in an appointment at the bank, reorganizing my mortgage and line of credit.<\/p>\n In other shitty news, can’t go home to visit Dad, as there’s been another outbreak of flu in his facility, so he’s under quarantine again.<\/p>\n Time to stop whining about all this, buy some bubble gum, and start kicking some financial ass.<\/p>\n Tonight’s fun adventure in keeping my social life alive despite two jobs: going to the Duke of York for a dinner with the old University College crew.
