What a fun, costly, messy event a house party is! <\/p>\n
I realised this morning, when I woke up groggy, exhausted, and mildly hungover next to my handsome paramour JVL, that I have not thrown a house party in my own home since Christmas of whatever year it was that Casey and Dave got their nipples pierced (2000?)<\/p>\n
It’s a lot of work! And a lot of fun! We had the promised inflated pool, some of the promised hot weather, the hoped-for BBQ and many but not all of the hoped-for people. I think about 30 people showed up over the course of the day, including many of my lovely LJ folks, who I don’t have the energy to type out your tags, but I love you all!<\/p>\n
