Whew. What an exhausting day. I did tons of stuff at work (lots of detail-oriented work, v. exhausting), and also took care of some personal details including:<\/p>\n

– paid Mar 1 property tax installment for old condo
\n– set up internet payment for and paid Mar 1 tax on new condo
\n– set up pre-authorized debit for new place monthly condo fees
\n– got refund for box spring from Sleep Country (finally!)<\/p>\n

Still need to work on getting insurance matters straightened out, and look into short-term summer rental options for new place. Also have a wedding shower to attend tomorrow and a whole bunch of NO GIFT ready to take to it. Why am I so good about getting gifts randomly, or even (sometimes) for birthdays, and yet SO CRAP when it comes to weddings? (see: and for more details about not achieving weddingy giftage)<\/p>\n

Have been having a bit of a rough time with JVL since his return from NYC. I am being way oversensitive and overreacting to unintentional affronts and just shutting down rather than talking things through: very unlike me. It’s probably just residual panic and fear of loss since hearing about Mum’s little car accident earlier this week. Think I will go visit Mum tonight, despite exhaustion, and JVL said he’ll come too. That should ease my mind that she’s really okay. And that he’s okay. And that we’re okay. <\/p>\n

On a sunnier note, my friends and are going on a lovely vacation to the Dominican starting tomorrow! I am sure they will have an incredible, all-inclusive holiday and come back sporting tans and hangovers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
