Have you ever been writing an essay, and you’ve been at it all day, and then you look back and you realize that although your first page with the thesis on it claims that you are writing about “cinematic influence and mise-en-scene in Evelyn Waugh’s early novels”, the REST of the paper seems to be saying that what you have actually written about is “modernism and the commodification of culture, with a weird sub-section on transit and identity, in Waugh’s early novels”?<\/p>\n
How did that happen? It was so organic, I didn’t even notice the transition.
\nDammit, now I have to reformulate my thesis. What a pain.
\nPlus, my forehead is really hot and my feet are really cold and my throat is really sore.
