A Very MoFo Christmas

Ontario’s super-sunny December 2006 has not exactly blessed us with a “White Christmas.”

Due to Toronto’s recent tropical heatwave, wasn’t feeling the festive groove. She didn’t want a ‘traditional’ tree with, you know, a trunk and branches and needles and whatnot. Instead, she opted for… a GelTree!

The GelTree is a cutting-edge piece of holiday celebration: modern latex technology at its very worst, this series of red & green gelatine adhesives suggest a tree in the same way that tofurky suggests a plucked, roasted dead bird.

Sadly, due to this winter’s unseasonably warm climate, the magical GelTree has melted into an even more freakish parody of a Tannenbaum.

Despite this, , , her insane siamese and myself, all enjoyed our ultra-casual/ghetto Christmas dinner.
